Each Saturday, our community comes together to walk Mt-Royal and take the opportunity to reconnect not only with nature but with one another.
This event marks the point of transition in our format. Be sure to distinguish between Longevity Walks & Longevity Hikes, as they are no longer interchangeable.
Every third week, our calmer walk will be replaced with a more active Hike, which includes a change of trail! (Expect to climb somewhat steeper rock and back-end trails). The pace will also be quicker than our usual walks, so while peak-fitness is by no means required, a certain level of athletic comfort is recommended.
We’ll be starting near the Street Fitness gym, about 6 minutes walking from both Mont-Royal and Laurier metro stations. From there, we’ll head up the mountain at a steady, active pace. The hike is open to most fitness levels and all forms of company. Come solo, bring a friend, or tag along with family!
What to know
• Round-trip hike, suitable for most mid+ fitness levels
• Should you arrive early, the start & end location doubles as an outdoor Calisthenics gym 😉
• Bring sunscreen, water, and a snack as needed
• Open to all (solo, with friends, &/or family)
• No expectations, just community!
